Founded by NHA in 2007, The Virtual Gala is a one-of-a-kind fundraising event where all the activities of a traditional fund-raising gala are simulated online. In other words, you can support NHA without ever leaving the comfort of your home or office. And, because NHA isn’t spending any money on an event venue, entertainment, refreshments or any of the other costs associated with a flashy event, we are able to reduce our event-related costs by more than 200 percent compared to a live gala. This means more of your donation goes to helping the Neighborhood House Association provide over thousands of San Diego families, seniors and individuals this year with health, teenage pregnancy prevention, childhood development, seniors support, mental health, nutrition, HIV/AIDS services, housing counseling and emergency assistance services.
